Microscopic & Endoscopic Neck Surgery

Cervical Spine Surgery & ACDF in Chennai

Relief from chronic neck pain, arm numbness, tingling, and spinal cord compression (Cervical Myelopathy) by Senior Neurosurgeon Dr. Agnetia Vinoth.

Precision Anterior Cervical Discectomy & Fusion (ACDF)

The cervical spine (neck) supports the head while protecting delicate nerves and the spinal cord connecting the brain to the rest of the body. Age-related wear, disc degeneration (cervical spondylosis), or acute disc herniation can pinch exiting cervical nerve roots (causing Cervical Radiculopathy) or compress the main spinal cord (causing Cervical Spondylotic Myelopathy).

ACDF (Anterior Cervical Discectomy and Fusion) is considered the worldwide gold standard for cervical nerve and spinal cord decompression. Dr. Agnetia Vinoth has performed hundreds of complex single-level and multi-level cervical surgeries with near-zero blood loss, microscopic precision, and rapid patient recovery.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long will I stay in the hospital after ACDF surgery? â–¼

Patients typically walk on the evening of surgery or the next morning. Most patients are safely discharged within 24 to 48 hours and can comfortably eat normal food immediately.

Will my neck movement be restricted after fusion? â–¼

A single-level ACDF (e.g., C5-C6) only accounts for about 5-10% of total neck rotation. Most patients do not notice any meaningful loss in neck turning because the majority of rotation occurs at C1-C2 at the base of the skull, which remains completely untouched.

Can I do desk work or drive after surgery? â–¼

Light computer work and reading can usually resume in 10 to 14 days with proper ergonomic posture. Driving is recommended after 3 to 4 weeks once neck reflex movement is comfortable.
